Titans on Netflix : what is already known about the season 2

While the first season of the DC series, “Titans”, with, in particular, Brenton Thwaites in the role of Dick Grayson, aka Robin, has been available since January 11, on Netflix, season 2 has already been commissioned. What do we know already about the following ? Brooke Palmer / 2018 Warner Bros Launched last October in the United States on the platform of the DC Universe, and available from the 11th of January on Netflix in France, the Titans, developed by Greg Berlanti (Riverdale, Arrow), Akiva Goldsman, and Geoff Johns from DC characters Comics of the Young Titans (Teen Titans in VO), follows the adventures of Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites), who has left behind his days of vigilante under the mask of Robin alongside Batman has left Gotham City, and became a cop within the police of Detroit. But his encounter with Rachel Roth (Teagan Croft), aka Raven, a teenage girl with strange powers that ensures to have seen it in his dreams just before his mother do not murder, is going to bring it back to the world of vigilantes in costume, and meet other heroes from DC (including Starfire and Beast Boy), then that’s a threat to the planet. And the good news for all those who have already binge-watché this new series DC Comics is that a season 2 has been ordered even before the broadcast of the first episode in the United States. We thus providing answers to come to the cliffhangers end of the first season. And if the filming of these new episodes has not yet been started, this is what is already known on this season 2 of Titans… Where and when will be available the season 2 ? Rumors are that the shooting is fairly imminent, which could begin in February or march, but nothing has been confirmed by DC Universe or Warner Bros. Television, which produces the series. So we can probably expect to see season 2 of Titans land by the end of the year 2019 in the United States on the DC Universe and in the wake (or at the same time in the case of a broadcast in the US+24) on Netflix in France. It is also unknown how many episodes will the second season, but if it is based on the first season, we can expect a command in about 12 episodes. Christos Kalohordis / 2018 Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. All Rights Reserved what To talk about season 2 ? If side casting is already known that Brenton Thwaites (Dick), Anna Diop (Starfire), Teagan Croft (Rachel), Ryan Potter (Beast Boy), Minka Kelly (Dove), Alan Ritchson (Hawk), and Seamus Dever (Trigon) will obviously return, the outline of season 2 at the moment remain rather obscure, even if it is obvious that the beginning of the season – including the season premiere which will be an up-rated version of the original end of season 1 never aired – will focus on the fight against the demonic Trigon and the consequences of the shift from Dick to the dark side. During the Comic Con New York in October last year, Akiva Goldsman and Geoff Johns have also suggested that the season 2 will inspire more comics Teen Titans : “We already know the story of season 2. Marv Wolfman, author of the New Teen Titans, will be very happy with season 2”. A teasing a bit obscure which leaves everything to even think that the writers of the Titans, the aim is to adapt “The Judas Contract”, one of the “episodes” the most famous of the comic The New Teen Titans published in 1984. A chapter is quite dark, during which Dick, Starfire, Raven, and Beast Boy have had to face Deathstroke, hired to kill, while being part of a team with Terra, a young girl able to control the earth to the infinite, which was none other than an undercover agent working for Deathstroke. In short, an entire program, that promises for season 2 of the Titans if that is what the creators have in mind (even more so than The Judas Contract introduced a new member of the team in the person of Jericho, a son of Deathstroke). Ben Mark Holzberg / 2018 Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. All Rights Reserved Superboy return Mostly centered on Dick and Trigon, the final of season 1 of Titans we still offered a nice gift via its sequence post-credits, that sets the stage for the “subject 13” that had escaped from Project Cadmus, which happens to be Superboy, a clone of Superman that fans of DC’s comic books know well. Should we see this as a sign that he will join the team of Titans in season 2 ? The future will tell us but the scriptwriter Greg Walker has in any case confirmed to IGN that Superboy/Conner Kent would be present in the rest of the series : “We’re still trying to imagine the season 2, but it will be part of the characters that’s for sure”. No Cyborg in season 2 A character that it cannot, should not cross so soon in the Titans is Cyborg, a super-hero darling of the fans of the DC universe, which is closely linked to the Teen Titans in the comics, but the writers of the series have preferred to keep to the spin-off Doom Patrol, which will begin on February 15 the DC Universe in the United States, in order to not drown out the story of the first season of the Titans with too many characters. “Greg, Geoff, and Akiva really had to desire to tell a story emotionally strong for Dick, Rachel, Kory, and Gar,” says Greg Walker at IGN. “Then, at the time of writing the episode Doom Patrol season 1, it became clear that the character best suited to pass from the Doom Patrol, the Titans would be Gar, because of his relationship with Rachel and the direction we wanted to take.” Cyborg will make his debut on DC Universe in Doom Patrol, under the guise of Joivan Wade, and will be the one who will call the team to come together and to depart for a mission necessarily full of twists and dangers. And it is not intended that it will appear in Titans in the future : “Nothing is ever final, but Cyborg is not a character which we have already spoken to the Titans”.
